Download the desktop app, the command line client and the mobile apps.
The desktop app is built with Electron and is the only place where Your AI team is available.
The download page lists the builds that are available for Windows, macOS and Linux. The project's own build produces:
| Platform | Package |
|---|---|
| Windows (x64) | Installer (.exe). You can choose the install folder. |
| Linux (x64) | AppImage and .deb. |
Download the build for your system, run it, and sign in. The app opens straight into the chat: your projects, chats and settings are in the sidebar.
Building from source? Clone the public repository Peridot-AI/peridot-desktop. It contains only the desktop shell. The app itself talks to the hosted Peridot servers.
Install the newer build over the old one. Your projects and chats are not stored in the app folder: chats are saved to your account, and each project's AI team is saved in the project itself (see The team file).
Download the single binary for Windows, macOS or Linux from the download page and put it somewhere on your PATH. Then run it in a terminal:
peridotThe first time, type /login to sign in. See Peridot CLI for commands and settings.
To build the CLI yourself you need Bun:
git clone https://github.com/Peridot-AI/peridot-cli.git
cd peridot-cli
bun install
bun run build # a single binary in dist/peridotbun run build:linux, build:macos and build:windows build for a specific platform.
Native clients for Android (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose) and iOS (SwiftUI) are developed in the open:
They offer chat with your account and history. New accounts and plans are managed on the website, and the apps do not link to checkout.
Nothing to install: open tryperidot.io and go to Chat. You can also install the site as an app from your browser's menu.
The browser version cannot open folders on your computer, so it is chat only. Use the desktop app or the CLI to work on code.
