How cookies and local storage are used

Peridot does not use advertising or analytics cookies. We only store a few small items in your browser so the site can remember you. This page lists exactly what they are, and you can clear them at any time.

What we store in your browser

• peridot_token (strictly necessary): your sign-in session token. Without it you would have to sign in on every page. It expires after seven days.
• peridot_user (strictly necessary): a copy of your basic profile (name, email, role) so the interface can show who you are without a delay.
• peridot_lang (preference): the language you picked in the footer.

Cookies from third parties

When you use "Continue with Google", Google's sign-in service may set its own cookies on its domain to authenticate you. Google Fonts and the Iconify icon service are requested from their servers and receive your IP address. We do not control these, and their policies apply.

Your choices

The items above are needed for sign-in or are preferences you chose, so they are not used for tracking. You can remove them at any time through your browser settings (clear site data). Clearing them signs you out and resets your language to English.
